Mediterranean Breeze in Izmir International Fair; home to different cultures every year, taking anyone that breathes its air in a time travel between the past and the future.
Izmir International Fair, one of the most long-established international fairs of the world and the first fair in the history of Turkey, is preparing to open its doors for 89th time in Izmir International Fair Area / Kültürpark under the auspices of Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Commerce and hosting by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and İZFAŞ between 04 - 08 September 2020.
Izmir International Fair, the first and most extensive fair of Turkey, which has hosted many civilizations and continues its historical adventure of 88 years despite wars, famines, crises,
will come together with its attendants and visitors by observing the following considerations for national fairs to be held in outdoors due to COVID-19 pandemic in the world and our country as per the Ministry of Commerce's letter no. 56679989 of 18.08.2020.
- While entering the fair area and inside the fair area, the attendants, fair area officers and visitors will wear masks.
- Attendants and officers who are sick and show symptoms and who should isolate themselves will not be allowed to enter the fair area.
- Hand sanitizers will be available in each stand.
- Compliance with rules will be inspected in the fair area.
In line with these rules, the number of visitors in the Kültürpark Area will checked by tollgate systems.
Within the scope of pandemic and measurements for it, stands were not assigned in closed areas for 89th IIF, and Guest of Honor Province and Partner Country practices have been discontinued for this year.
Having a leading role in fair organization and a traditional mission in addition to its historical, cultural and economic values, Izmir International Fair will bring the end consumer and sector representatives together in a platform in the pandemic period too.
Our fair, for which the main theme of Mediterranean and Blue Continent concept have been selected this year, will make people enjoy the warmth of Mediterranean culture in Kültürpark for 5 days.
Activities; This year, concerts, theater plays will be organized in Atatürk Open-Air Theater by observing social distancing rule and Mediterranean Cinema Film Screening will be organized in the open area. In the fair, a limited number of stands will be set up as from Lozan Gate in accordance with outdoor fair organization rules and product groups such as education, food , souvenirs will be present.
Business Days; Izmir Business Days will be organized digitally under auspices of Ministry of Commerce between 3 – 4 September 2020. 6th Izmir Business Days will be organized in cooperation with Ministry of Commerce, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, IZFAŞ, Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO), Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO), Izmir Commodity Exchange (ITB), Izmir Branch of Chamber of Shipping (IMEAK) and Aegean Exporters Unions (EIB).
Post-pandemic trade opportunities will come to the fore in meetings to be held between representatives from sectors such as textiles, maritime transport and e-commerce and at ministerial level.
The meetings, which will be attended by expert speakers and senior executives of institutions, will continue for two days. 89th IIF will continue to be one of the leaders of commerce of the future by transferring its historical and economic mission to the digital environment through Izmir Business Days.
