İzmir International Fair, which encourages the development of sectors with high trade volume, continues to strengthen its position as a “pioneer of trade” which it has had since the early years of the Republic.

İzmir International Fair, held for 88th times in this year, hosts People’s Republic of China as partner country and India as focus country. Kahramanmaraş and İstanbul participate in as Honour Guest Provinces of this year.


Participant Provinces of 88th İzmir International Fair

İzmir International Fair hosting 20 participant provinces this year, which are Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir,  Bursa, Denizli, Edirne, Hatay, Isparta, İstanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kocaeli, Malatya, Mersin, Muğla, Tekirdağ, Trabzon, and Uşak will contribute to revitalize the economy of the region and country for 88th times.

İstanbul, which is one of the most important cities of Turkey, participates in 88th İzmir International Fair as Honour Guest Province. İstanbul, participating in the fair in the Hall 2, brings the culture, beauties, and economic activities of the city to participants and visitors. Kahramanmaraş, another Honour Guest Province of the fair, preparing for EXPO 2023 with the main theme of “Eco-Friendly City and Sensitivity” colours the İzmir International Fair with various events. It is expected that Kahramanmaraş, which will present its traditional products with their specific tastes being in the lead, will attract big interest in the fair.

Partner Country: People’s Republic of China (6-10 September / Hall 2)

The People's Republic of China is participating in the fair with more than 60 companies with sectors such as technology, science, innovation, telecommunication, artificial intelligence, elevator systems, nuclear energy and energy systems, and infrastructure works. Huawei, considered as the largest network and telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world as well as giant enterprises such as the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) participate in İzmir International Fair. The stands also include industries such as electric motors, alternators, generators, and water pumps.

Focus Country: India  (6-10 September / Hall 1-A)

India participates in the fair with its industry branches such as textile, construction, design, energy, telecommunication, digital technology, unique crafts, and more than 40 companies.

In addition, Vestel, the Innovation Sponsor, presents the latest and high technology models to the fair guests in Hall 2. In the same hall, there are also participants from education, textile, construction, health sectors, chambers, and associations. In Hall 3, İzmir's district municipalities and public institutions are located.

İzmir Business Days (5-6 September 2019-Swissotel Büyük Efes)

One of the most important events within the scope of İzmir International Fair is İzmir Business Days organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey. Bilateral trade agreements are signed making business negotiations between delegations and ministerial level at İzmir Business Days.

People’s Republic of China among the most important trade partners of us and 168 delegates from 39 countries, 21 of which are at the ministry level are expected to attend this year's İzmir Business Days, which was attended by 24 countries 12 of which were at ministry level, last year.


B2B Meetings

During the first 5 days of the İzmir International Fair, bilateral business meetings (B2B meetings) are organized for our participant countries and sector representatives. In these meetings, foreign participants from various countries and domestic participants come together at their own stands and establish important business contacts.

İzmir International Fair aims to create an “international trading platform” that offers new investment opportunities to the participants in its 88th year with the Izmir Business Days and B2B meetings held during the first 5 days of the fair.
