On the eighth day of the 95th İzmir International Fair, Kültürpark hosted an evening filled with art and entertainment, featuring Semicenk’s songs and “A Two-Person Play,” starring Binnur Kaya and Mert Fırat. İzmir residents packed the Fair Lawn Concerts area and the Atatürk Open-Air Theatre, enjoying an evening of music and theatre.
Art- and entertainment-filled evenings continue at the 95th İzmir International Fair. On the eighth day of the fair, Kültürpark welcomed visitors with a programme ranging from music to theatre. Popular artist Semicenk took the stage as part of the Fair Lawn Concerts, while theatre lovers gathered at the Atatürk Open-Air Theatre for “A Two-Person Play,” starring Binnur Kaya and Mert Fırat.
A Fair Night with Semicenk’s Popular Songs
This time, Semicenk took the stage at the Fair Lawn Concerts, one of the traditional events of the fair. The popular artist opened his concert with “Düşer Aklıma” and performed some of his best-known songs, including “Batık Gemi,” “Al Sevgilim,” “Unutmak Öyle Kolay mı Sandın,” “Canın Sağ Olsun” and “Onlar Anlamaz Halden.” İzmir residents who filled the Fair Lawn Concerts area sang along with Semicenk throughout the performance, enjoying an evening full of music and entertainment. The artist also included popular songs such as “Dönence,” “Çöpçüler,” “Bir Derdim Var - Arap Saçı,” “İkimize Birden” and “Yana Yana” in his repertoire.
Full House at the Open-Air Theatre for “A Two-Person Play”
At the Kültürpark Atatürk Open-Air Theatre, “A Two-Person Play,” starring Binnur Kaya and Mert Fırat, was staged to great interest from theatre lovers. Written by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, the one-act comedy explores marriage, divorce, fidelity and social roles through humour. The stage performances of Binnur Kaya and Mert Fırat received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Events to Continue on the Final Day of the Fair
The İzmir International Fair will come to an end on Sunday, September 13. While the concert and Atatürk Open-Air Theatre programmes concluded on September 12, activities will continue on the final day across Kültürpark’s exhibition, children’s, youth and experience areas.
The Red Bull Cardboard Boat Race will also take place at Kültürpark Lake. Teams will race creatively designed cardboard boats across the water, while their entertaining performances are set to provide spectators with colourful and memorable moments.
